Man has used solid fuels produced directly or indirectly from biomass for heating and cooking pretty much since the discovery of fire. However, for decades the use of coal, gas and oil has put solid bio fuels into the background. As they can contribute to waste management as well as fuel security and help preventing climate changes, solid biofuels have entered into the picture again during the last few years.

Purchasing not least wood briquettes, wood chips and wood pellets from producers in the three Baltic states, Russia, Byelorussia, the Ukraine, and Canada Rosenkrantz a/s supplies both combined power and heating stations and distributors. Most of the production is sold to customers throughout Europe.
